The Pianist is a very emotional film about survival during the Holocaust. It follows Władysław Szpilman, a Jewish musician trying to stay alive in Warsaw during World War II.
The movie feels quiet and personal, which makes it even more powerful. The main actor’s performance is incredible — you can really feel his fear and loneliness.
It’s not an easy movie to watch, but it tells an important story in a respectful and moving way. I thought it was unforgettable.
